Agro-Processing Support Scheme (APSS)
APSS provides up to R20million in grant funding on a cost-sharing basis to eligible agro-processors. Agro-processing refers to post-harvest value adding of agricultural raw material. This fund is not applicable to the growing and harvesting of the raw crop or animals.

Qualifying Projects:
- South African businesses in the agro-processing sector (excludes primary agriculture)
- Includes new (start-up) projects and expansion of existing projects
Qualifying Costs:
- Plant, machinery and equipment
- Building and building improvements
- Commercial vehicles
- Business development
Requirements:
- B-BBEE Level 1-4
- Proof of market
- Confirmation of “matched” funding – required for the portion not funded by the grant
